Early Interventions for Children at Risk mode (in Norwegian) is a comprehensive intervention programme designed to prevent and help with behavioural problems in children aged 3 to 12 years.
Several of the TIBIR interventions have undergone scientific evaluations to ensure that the measures provide the most effective help possible for children and families in the target group.
The evaluation project was completed in 2018.

TIBIR Brief Parent Training (BPT) is a short-term intervention for families with children between the ages of three and twelve who show signs of incipient behavioural difficulties and/or where parents struggle with the interaction and follow-up of their children in everyday life. BPT is one of sex interventions within TIBIR, based on the PMTO treatment model. (…)
The study showed that the positive effects of the intervention on parenting skills and children’s problem behaviour, as reported by the parents, largely persisted six months after the intervention had ended. However, they had decreased somewhat compared to immediately after completion. (…)

The target group for this intervention is parents with children aged 3 to 12 years who find everyday interaction with their child challenging, and where the children show signs of behavioural difficulties of varying degrees. The intervention is based on individual PMTO treatment, which is usually given to single families, but is adapted to a group setting. (…)
The TIBIR Social Skills Training intervention is based on key principles from PMTO and the Stop Now and Plan (SNAP) programme. Around 200 children participated in the study, which was intended to investigate the effect of this initiative. (…)
